I recently completed a condo transaction with Dream Town and wanted to write you regarding the agent I was working with, Lauren Shimmon. As I am sure you are aware, she is a great agent. Specifically, in my transaction she really is the reason that the sale got back on track and she ensured the deal got done. We were dealing with an extremely difficult seller and Lauren stay focused through the whole transaction wearing many hats. She even educated the sellers realtor on how a real estate transaction should flow as he was less experienced. I can’t thank her enough for going above and beyond in this transaction. She was constantly available to reassure me that she would get this done and she did. Also, the seller is a non real estate lawyer and tried to represent herself in the transaction which added another layer of complexity. I now have a great place to live and none of this would have happened unless Lauren was my agent. I’m not sure if there are any special write ups or awards that Lauren would be eligible for but this was an extremely difficult transaction on multiple levels, and I would like to nominate Lauren for this. Being a manager myself I know it’s extremely difficult to find people that will work this hard for your organization and go above and beyond like Lauren did. Knowing Lauren personally, it was great to know that I would be looked after out of the gate! Having said that, Lauren was professional throughout and her knowledge of the area and business in general was abundantly evident – all of my (many) questions were answered comprehensively and with confidence (which can only be provided with a certain level of experience!). The only thing I found a challenge was understanding some of the hidden costs – this is much to do with my inexperience as a Brit and the nature of some of the unknowns (such as taxation) – a cost and potential hidden cost cheat sheet kind of thing might have helped with this in hindsight. I would definitely recommend Lauren and have already started recommending her to friends – it was a pleasure doing business with her!

I worked with Lauren to buy my new condo and to also sell my existing condo……..all during Thanksgiving and Christmas. One would think this is a very stressful time, but Lauren’s expertise and advice went beyond my expectations. First of all, finding my new home was a dream. I had no plans to make an offer during our first trip. Lauren knew exactly what I liked. This was supposed to be an exploration trip only. She saved the best showing for last! Lauren already had me pre-approved and I knew what I could afford. Consequently, I was able to quickly make a decision and made an offer. I didn’t want to lose this phenomenal condo. Interest rates were great, location was fantastic, and the condo was breath taking and unique. Then Lauren helped me prepare for selling my existing condo. She has an unbelievable network: the legal team, the lender, the handyman, painter, and mover. Thanks to her contacts I was able to get my house ready to list in 1 short week between Christmas and New Years. Her advice on how and when to list was stellar. Who would think Jan. 3rd during a deep freeze is a good time to list? Not me…….but she sold my condo in 3 short days. Lauren had a professional photographer take my pictures. I’m convinced that is why there were well over 200 views on MLS the 2nd day it was listed. We had our first offer on day 2, yet there were several viewings scheduled the next day. This lead to 4 more offers. On day 3 we accepted an offer. I never expected to get a contract this fast. What a relief. From there, everything went like clock work. Whenever part of the process stalled, I never knew it. Lauren jumped in and moved things along. She went beyond the call of duty. My message to anyone looking for an agent, stop looking and call Lauren. You are in great hands.
